The B8 has a hub bore of 57.1 mm, the B9 of 66.5 mm. Many universal wheels are offered with 66.5 mm and thus fit directly on the B9. The B9 has larger brake discs than the B8 in many equipment variants. This can be a problem with 17-inch wheels – the wheel must fit over the brake caliper. For S-Line or S4 models, 17 inches are often the lower limit. Always check brake caliper clearance before ordering wheels.
ET Values
Both generations tolerate similar ET ranges (+35 to +46).
